80 women in teams of 4, from 12 different clubs across Hertfordshire met at Brookmans Park, for the annual County Women’s Spring Meeting. Everyone enjoyed the kind weather, a great course and the warm hospitality.
The event format of best 2 scores from 4 on each hole allowed for attacking golf and great scoring.
Third place from Whitehills, with 81 points – Jean Thompson, Anne Hudson, Jacky Joyce and Ann Bridge
Second place from Brookmans Park with 84 points – Eng Kessler, Louise Sherring, Preeti Shah and Jessie Weiwei Ji
The Winners, also from Brookmans Park, narrowly pipping their clubmates by 1 point with 85 points were Berti Walter, Mandy Blanchflower, Pat McMonagle and Linda Douglas.
A Grand Total of £230 was raised from the Ball Sweep, which will be used to support the Hertfordshire Golf “Disability Golf for Stroke, Parkinsons and Dementia Sufferers” initiatives. Our many thanks to everyone for their generous support which will allow the programme to continue throughout the summer, with 5 more sessions for the groups.
