John Ambridge of Moor Park and Hertfordshire added an international title to his collection last weekend (Oct 1-2), when he claimed the Italian International Seniors Championship, played at Royal Park in Turin. The major event was played with over 200 competitors from 17 different countries taking part.

John finished in a tie for 1st place in the gross event, level with fellow Englishman Clive Jones from Sussex, after 3 rounds, with a score of 216. John would go on to defeat Clive and win the sudden death playoff for overall victory. Clive is a recent winner of the European Amateur Seniors Championship and is a former Professional.

John adds the Italian success to the Spanish Seniors title he won in 2013.

Herts Seniors Captain and fellow Moor Park member Douglas Cameron also took part and finished in a creditable tie for 11th position.
