The Club at Mill Green hosted The Hertfordshire School’s Team Championship on Thursday 8th May.
21 Teams consisting of 3 students per team took took to the course, with best 2 Stableford scores from 3 counting towards the school total.
The course was playing extremely difficult, especially the superfast greens. Incredibly, from a field of 63 talented students varying in handicap from +4 to 27, not one player shot under their handicap, with the PCC going up 3 shots.
It was Yash Bid’s 35pts and Ollie Robinson’s 34pts for a combined 69pts which saw St. Clement Danes School take the title by the narrowest of margins from Chancellors School, with their 68pts coming from Daniel Hobbs and Oliver Mullin both scoring 34pts.
Though it was not a day for individual prizes, special mentions went out to Freddie Marheineke of St.Clement Danes B Team and Ellis Juster of Ashlyn’s School, who were the only 2 players to score 36pts.
St.Clement Danes now progress to the National Finals at Woodhall Spa, July 9th, where we wish them well.
