Mid Herts Golf Club warmly hosted the 2025 Family Cup, which pairs together relatives (1 Adult & 1 Junior) from Hertfordshire Affiliated Golf Clubs in a 4 ball betterball stableford competition.
With the course looking great from the recent rain, a new record of 22 pairs with a mixture of father/son, father/daughter, grandfather/grandson and uncle/nephew’s headed out to do battle.
Scoring was very high, with the top seven pairs only separated by 1 point.
Four pairs finished on the winning total of 42 points and had to be decided from back 9 countbacks, which fortunately enough were all differing.
With Dean and Billy Paas generously coming in at the very last hour to cover for a late withdrawal, they were unable to pick up a prize for their 3rd place finish, so 3rd place went to Simon and Max Prestcote of Hadley Wood. Runners Up were Daniel and Alfie Goodridge of The Hertfordshire.
The trophy was to be claimed by another father and son pair of Daniel and Alfie, this time Kitteridge of Bishops Stortford
