Sunday 30th March both Hadley Wood and Moor Park played host to the Men’s Champion Club Semi-Finals.
With 14 clubs already having their spots secured in the final at Stocks Golf Club on Sunday 11th May, there were 8 qualifying places left available, with 4 clubs qualifying from each semi-final.
The 10 clubs at Hadley Wood and 9 at Moor Park, each team consisting of 3 players and having all their gross scores count for a total aggregate, encountered sunny but breezy conditions, which certainly affected scoring.
The four clubs qualifying for the final from Hadley Wood were Sandy Lodge, The Hertfordshire, Hadley Wood and Aldwickbury Park, with Castor Morris from Sandy Lodge shooting the low round of the day with 73 +1.
At Moor Park, on the West Course, the four successful clubs were Bishop’s Stortford, Porters Park, Moor Park and Mill Green. Ben Sessions returning the low individual round of the day with a level par 69
