On Monday 11th May, 44 players from 9 different Hertfordshire clubs, played the traditional ‘best 2 scores per hole’ from each team of 4 at South Herts Golf Club.Â
Whilst the players set off in the rain, it did clear and most of the afternoon stayed dry.
South Herts, as always, were most welcoming and the staff gave us every support. The meal – a wonderful selection of tapas, served to each table – was enthusiastically received by everyone – and compliments about the selection and quality, and delight to have something really different, abounded
In first place, with a remarkable score of 95 points, from Hadley Wood, were Anne Kapoor, Seema Lakhani, Lisa Di Cesare and Simmi Ciccone – pictured with County President Jane Walter.Â
In 2nd place, with 85 points, from Brocket Hall, were May Cheung, Laura Raelbrook, Xin Zhang and Fang Mei Liu.
In spite of an exciting hole on one on the 8th by Linda Reeve, she finished in 3rd on 84 points with her team mates from Aldwickbury, Elaine Meager, Leah Fitzgerald and Chris Marsden – Linda also shown with County President Jane Walter.
