The 3rd HG Mixed Golf Challenge was played at Porters Park in July. 10 teams battled it out to take first prize. The format of best female score and best male score on each hole ensures that everyone gets a chance of contributing.
The course looked beautiful and on a summer’s Sunday afternoon is there no better place to be. John Baines, Lorraine Baines, Julie Binns & Peter Uri from the home club topped the leaderboard with a magnificent 86 points on countback from Lee Edwards, Pete Laurence, Elaine Meagher & Linda Reeve from Aldwickbury Park.
The players then enjoyed a splendid buffet, thank you very much Porters Park, your hospitality was first class. Thank you also to the players for supporting this event and look forward to seeing you all again next year.
