Seniors Scratch Foursomes League Finals Day 2026

144 players take part in the end of season event played at South Herts GC

2026 saw Hertfordshire Golf assume responsibility for the popular Seniors Scratch Foursomes League for the first time.

The finals day, played at South Herts GC, saw 24 of the competing teams take part, each with 6 players/3 pairs per club playing 18 holes scratch foursomes. This saw a total of 144 players on the day, possibly a new record for most players take part on one day in a County event!

Alongside the Finals Day activity, the final of the KO Cup was also played between Brickendon Grange, the defending champions, and Ashridge A. The match went down to the last green between the last pairs and saw Brickendon Grange defeat Ashridge A 2-1 to retain their Cup trophy for another year.

The finals day event is played with all team scores added together to create a cumulative score. The winners on the day were also our Division 1 winners, Brookmans Park, who achieved a score of 88 points, to win by 2 points from Old Fold Manor on 86 points. Best pairs score on the day was achieved by Mike Ready and Dominic Ronan of Old Fold Manor with 33 points +3 gross score of 75.

The Divisional prizes were all handed out on the day which saw the aforementioned Brookmans Park picking up the top Division, East Herts for Division 2, Old Fold Manor for Division 3, Aldwickbury Park for Division 4 and Sandy Lodge for Division 5. The Division 5 trophy, which is new for this year, is named after Adrian Marshall of Harpenden, the previous league organiser who sadly passed away earlier this year after a brief battle with illness.
