54 players in teams of 4, from 10 different Hertfordshire clubs, met at Knebworth GC, for the annual County Womens Autumn Meeting. Whilst the weather started very wet, the green staff did an amazing job in sweeping the greens so the event could go ahead, and as the afternoon progressed, the rain stopped! We were welcomed with warm hospitality and lovely food, for the event which was run on the “best 2 scores of the 4, on each hole” format. Our thanks to all those at Knebworth for their help before, and throughout the day.
The prize winners, all from Brocket Hall were:
Nearest the Pin on the 10th hole – Sue Bradbury
Second place, with 74 points (on countback) – Jane Boon, Ping Li Xiao, Christina Choy and Cindy Zhang
The Winners – with 78 points – Jennie Lewis Puttick, Kay Wardley, Sue Bradbury and Sooying Foster

And a grand total of £200 was raised from the Ball Sweep which will be used to support the Hertfordshire Golf “Disability Golf for Stroke, Parkinsons and Dementia Sufferers” projects – our thanks to all for their generous support.
