Letchworth finish 3rd at England Golf Mens Champion Club event

Podium finish for Letchworth GC at Stanton-on-the-Wolds

Congratulations to the team from Letchworth GC who finished in an impressive 3rd position at last weekends England Golf Mens Champion Club Final event, played at Stanton-on-the-Wolds in Notts.

Letchworth GC won the Hertfordshire Golf Mens Champion Club earlier this year at South Herts, which earnt them the right to play in this national final. Two of the three who played at South Herts played in this event, with Kiertan Sangha dropping out due to University commitments and replaced by current Club Champion, Tom Pemberton.

Team Captain Niall Johnston reports ‘Weather was awful and the reduction to 27 holes, (we only played 9 on Sunday), was not helping us to catch the leaders. Course was in great condition, greens were some of the fastest we have played on all year and England Golf did an amazing job ensuring we managed to get some holes played on Sunday.’
