51 attendees representing 28 of our affiliated clubs were in attendance yesterday, Monday 2nd March 2026, at the Hertfordshire Golf Annual General Meeting. This took place at the home of Hertfordshire Golf, Knebworth GC, which is where the HG offices are located. HG were extremely grateful to Knebworth for being able to agree to host the meeting at short notice.Â
Normal business matters were conducted, two HG Board members were retiring from their positions, Bobby Kendall of Moor Park as Chair and Janet Biscoe of Mid Herts as Director of Marketing & Communications. Two existing Board members were re-elected after their terms of office came to an end, these were Jane Clarke of Brocket Hall, who moves into the vacant Chair position, and Simon Shepherd of Hadley Wood, who retains his position as Director without Portfolio.Â
Two new directors are to come on board, both as Directors without Portfolio, these are Nick Simpson of Essendon and Peter Canaparo of Sandy Lodge.Â
Hertfordshire Golf welcomes both Nick and Peter to the Board and wishes them well, and offers our sincere thanks to both the outgoing Bobby & Janet for their service and efforts on behalf of the County.Â
Nick O’Byrne of Moor Park was elected as President Elect, to provide assistance to our current President Jane Walter of Harpenden Common, and will hold the post for 1 year until it is expected Nick will be be elected as County President at the AGM in 2027.
