COUNTY WOMEN’S SENIORS TEAM PICTURED AT HENLEY GC, OXON – FROM L TO R, KIM BRISTOW, SANDRA MOSES, CHARLIE DOYLE, SALLY CLOSE, ALY NEDZA, SALLY ODELL, LINDSAY MURRAY-GRAY (MANAGER) & MICHELLE GARDNERÂ
Report from Lindsay Murray-Gray, County Women’s Seniors Manager;Â
The Women’s Senior team had a really close call at against Oxon at Henley GC on Thursday 13th July. Â The weather was generally kind given the recent monsoon climate that is developing and most of the matches managed to get off the course with dry clubs.
Â
For those of you that haven’t played there, a visit is thoroughly recommended. Â It such a beautiful setting and a really interesting mix of holes. Â Plus it has a really sweet halfway house serving homemade cakes, so what’s not to like! Â
Â
Alas all of this loveliness didn’t result in a win but it was a really narrow loss despite the presence of County President Robin Colbourne who came to lend his support. Oxon won 4-3 but all of the matches were tight so it’s still all to play for in the BBH&O league as the Herts could win if they beat Hants and Berks do us a favour in their match against them on 1st Aug. Â At least the team will know what they need to do going to Corhampton GC to play them on 17th August. Â Bring it on!
Â
Thanks to all of the team for playing and the reserves for being so understanding.
