Ava Gadsby of East Herts has earned a well deserved 1st Cap for England Girls against Scotland.
Ava, already a member of the England Regional Squad, received her call up for the National Team after a stella season of high finishes across England and R&A National Championships.
The U16 Match was held at Heswall Golf Club on the Wirral in Cheshire, ahead of the North of England Championships.
Teams of 4 players were selected to pair up in x2 morning foursomes, followed by x4 afternoon singles.
Ava paired up with Selina Bartarya in the foursomes and managed to edge a tight match with a 1up victory.
Ava romped home in the singles, securing a fabulous 9&8 win.
England coasted home, winning all 6 matches that were played.
I’m sure this is the first of many appearances for Ava going forward and wishing her well at Heswall in the North of England Championships.
