Whitehill Take Top Prize At Club Officials Challenge

Whitehill's team of Shawn Reeves, Wayne Samson, Martin Bridge and Tim Collins

East Herts Golf Club hosted the 2025 Club Officials Challenge on Monday 22nd September. Whilst a little blustery and cool, at least the sun was shining on the 48 players who took to the course for a 10am shotgun start.

Teams comprising of 2 pairs from each club, played 4 Ball Betterball Stableford, with both pairs scores counting in the overall team score.

It was Whitehill who came out on top, scoring 82 points, with the duo of Shawn Reeves and Wayne Smith the top scoring pair of the day with 44 points, combined with the partnership of Martin Bridge and Tim Collins scoring a very respectable 38 points.

Runners Up were the quartet of Jessica Myers with Rajan Popat and David Lansdowne alongside Sue Knight coming in just behind on 80 points.

The idea of the competition is for as many Herts clubs as possible to enter officials from whatever capacity from within their club, no strict criteria, to allow them to meet up with others in similar positions, to share stories and ideas.

It would be great to see a few more clubs next year, as those attending had a great time and East Herts were fantastic hosts and putting on a fabulous buffet afterwards for all the competitors.
