Ava Gadsby of East Herts had recent success in the Bronte Law Series at Cumberwell Park Golf Club.
The Bronte Law Series, are a series of 54 holes strokeplay events across the summer, created by England Golf last year, with an aim to give girls more competitive opportunities, with the winner gaining WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) points.
With all the recent dry weather, Cumberwell Park’s fairways were playing fast and running and it was Ava who coped best with the conditions, overturning a 3 stroke deficit to Scarlett Phillips of Ferndown in the final round. A level par round of 73, to go alongside her 74 & 72, gave Ava a 3 round total of 219 level par.
