Darcie West of Sandy Lodge secured victory at the 2024 Girl’s County Champion of Champions in dramatic style, winning in a playoff at the first extra hole in near darkness.
Hosted by Woodhall Spa on their Bracken Course, this tournament invites all the 2024 English Girls County Champions to battle it out over 36 holes Strokeplay to find the overall champion.
Posting scores of 75 & 73 would find Darcie in a tie with her close friend from Buckinghamshire, Ellie Lichtenhein, which would send them out in a sudden death playoff in ever darkening skies to determine the victor.
And it was Darcie who prevailed, adding this prestigious title to a continued run of form, which has seen her make it through to the Quarters Finals of The R&A Girl’s Championship and securing her place in this tournament with victory at the Hertfordshire Girl’s County Championship,
