James Andrews of Letchworth Golf Club and Highfield School has qualified to represent England Schools in an international match versus Wales Schools later this year.
James qualified by virtue of his 3rd place finish at the England Schools National Championships at Kendleston Park Golf Club in Derbyshire.
Having made it through county qualifying and then going on to win the regional championship at Bury St.Edmunds, James carried on his rich vein of form.
After a morning round of 73, James was well placed, just 3 shots behind the leader. An excellent afternoon round of 70 was enough to secure James a 3rd place finish and just a shot behind the winner, Harry Slater.
With this success, James was invited to play for the England Schools Team and we wish him well when he competes against Wales at the end of the summer holidays.
