Anderson selected for Home International Matches
Tomasz Anderson of Brocket Hall and Hertfordshire has been selected as one of the 11 English golfers travelling to represent England in the Home International matches taking place at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland from 12th to 14th August.
Tomasz played with distinction at last year’s Home International matches in Wales, winning 5 of his 6 matches over the 3 day event.
Tomasz will be hoping for a good showing in this weeks European Amateur Championship in Slovakia, in order to make a final push to impress the Walker Cup selectors.
Last week at the English Amateur Championship, Tomasz qualified through to the matchplay stage of the event and won his 1st round match against David Houlding of Moortown on the 18th, only to lose to eventual winner, Joe Dean of Lindrick, in the round of 32 by a narrow 2&1 margin. Dean is also part of the 11 strong side selected for England, along with notable names, Ashley Chesters, Paul Kinnear and Jimmy Mullen.
