A draw for Herts and Essex on the final day of County Match Week

After a shaky start in the morning, with Essex winning all three of the foursomes matches, Hertfordshire rallied big time in the afternoon and won four and half points from the six available points in the singles matches.

With the morning and afternoon points aggregated, it meant a tie for Herts and Essex – 4.5 – 4.5, each securing 1 point in the overall tally.

Hertfordshire finished the week with three points, having halved the matches against Beds, Essex and Norfolk and losing to Cambs & Hunts and Suffolk.
