Question: Your golf ball is on a wood chip path. Are you allowed free relief?

An insect is on your golf ball in play. Are you allowed to remove it if it is:-

a) Alive?

or

b) Dead and sticking to the ball?

Answer:

(a) yes- providing the ball does not move

(b) No
