Answer to the Question from 19th December ’23: 

Question: Your golf ball in on a wood chip path. Are you allowed free relief?

Answer: Yes. Although wood is natural object, wood chippings are deemed to have been manufactured and therefore the path is deemed to be artificial and relief is available under Rule 16.1. 

Rule of the Week – 11th January ’24

Question: A ball comes to rest on a fairway but is played with and moved by some young moorhens. What is the ruling?
