Report from Womens Seniors Team Manager Lindsay Murray-Gray;
The Herts Senior Women got their season in the BBHH&O league off to a flying start by posting a 4 ½ – 2 ½ win against Bucks at their home venue East Herts GC.
Someone had turned down the thermometer by comparison to the lovely weather of the previous weeks so, despite the picture taken beforehand, it was back to bobble hats and long trousers but this did not distract from the job in hand. It was a close match with three of the games being halved however the middle order saved the day with some very strong results.
Thanks go to the team at East Herts for their on-going support of the squad and the fantastic hospitality they demonstrate on every visit. Thanks also to the entire squad for the time and effort they put in on pre-season training and to the team that played on the day for the result.
Let’s hope this is a good portent for the rest of the season.
