The 2nd playing of our Mixed Fun Team event was played recently (Sunday 11th August) at Mid Herts GC, with 7 teams of 4 players competing. The format on the day was best 2 from 4, but with 1 male score per hole and 1 female score per hole required.
The event was played in beautful sunshine and warm temperatures, and the competitors were looked after superbly by the host club.
The winning score on the day came from the team from Aldwickbury Park (pictured above) on 87 points and were represented by Lee Edwards, Pete Laurence, Linda Reeve and Elaine Meager. The runners up on the day were the home team from Mid Herts (pictured below) just a point behind on 86 and were represented by Mark Pearson, Peter McIntyre, Susan Hammond and Stephanie Parry. The prize winners took home bottles of wine and were presented their winnings by Hertfordshire Golf Chair Bobby Kendall and President Robin Colbourne.
